Cat Park Tour & Wine Tasting

Activity Description

Visitors to our Big Cats Park can enjoy the rare and exciting experience of being able to view these beautiful creatures up close, but still from the safety of our viewing decks and behind the enclosure fences! After all, these are wild animals and we respect them as such.

Our Big Cats Park offers a unique experience not to be found anywhere else along the Stellenbosch wine route, where one can both view and learn more about these majestic creatures that may well one day cease to exist in anything but our history books. It’s a must-visit for any animal lover, and we look forward to grrrrr-eeting you soon!

Set alongside Hudson’s Restaurant, our Tasting Room is the perfect place to enjoy your first introduction to Vredenheim’s range of wines. Offering seating at the counter or at large tables, we are able to accommodate groups of any size, from romantic tastings for two to tour group visits.

Our private cellar, adjacent to our Tasting Room, provides the perfect setting for intimate tutored tastings and is very popular with small groups and wine clubs.

Our Tasting Room also shares the stage with our Gift Shop, giving guests the perfect excuse to browse around whilst enjoying a wine tasting. From calendars and curios to jewellery, toys and art, and everything in between, there’s really something for everyone!

Customer Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed it. It was feeding time, guide was informative and the cats are beautiful Thank you - Sharon Malan

Fantastic place, we totally loved it. Thank you - Natasha James

The reason I chose Vredenheim is because my Italian friend works on the cruise ships and it gets pretty boring, so I thought I could show him something other than the ocean for a change. Because we were on a tight schedule, we missed the feeding, which was a pity because the animals were mostly only lying in the shade. Didn't see any leopards unfortunately and I thought it was going to be a guided tour, but next time I'll do the game drive for a little more excitement. The wine tasting on the other hand was great, your Rose bubbly and Cab Sav red wine are to die for! - Anika de Vos

Well worth the visit for adults and children - Colin Cooper

It was a great experience ! cats were wonderful and the taste wine vas very good ..But the enclosure are a bit small maybe you could change these one and put cows, zebras ... in their places which are huge!! I live in France and I take with me beautiful picture Thank to take care of these animals - Annick Moutier
