Cat Park Tour

Activity Description

Visitors to our Big Cats Park can enjoy the rare and exciting experience of being able to view these beautiful creatures up close, but still from the safety of our viewing decks and behind the enclosure fences! After all, these are wild animals and we respect them as such.

Our Big Cats Park offers a unique experience not to be found anywhere else along the Stellenbosch wine route, where one can both view and learn more about these majestic creatures that may well one day cease to exist in anything but our history books. It’s a must-visit for any animal lover, and we look forward to grrrrr-eeting you soon!

Customer Reviews

My experience was ok. was not what I expected. very small enclosures for the cats. It made me feel sad to see 3 Lions in such a small space. My experience at Hudsons was not that great, the food was good but the manager there had an attitude of note when I asked her to check who far my order was as we were waiting for 45min already. We still wanted to see the venue for a function, but after my experience with the manager I would not want to have any function there or recommend someone to eat there. - charlene du preez

Best place to take kids. Fun and very educational plus friendly service.....#Very Impressed - Khethani Mhelembe

We really enjoyed the Big Cat experience. We came first with a large group and decided it was a great place to bring our grand daughter (11). We had a lovely lunch and then enjoyed the Big Cats again. She very much enjoyed it and was very happy to see the Tigers as she had never seen one before. All in all, a great day out albeit a bit on the cold side (your fire in the restaurant helped a lot). - Barbara K Pennels

My friend (from Finland) and I were disappointed. There was no tour - no one about to tell us anything. We just walked around the area with no additional information about the animals. There was no signage on the cages either. What is a tiger doing at this place - no one to ask and no answers available ... we're still wondering! We weren't sure what to expect but were disappointed with the experience. Would I go again - no, would I recommend the experience - probably not. I certainly would visit Vredenheim again - the area is beautiful and the views across to the mountains was stunning. Very peaceful and tranquil just being there on a sunny winter day to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the restaurant area. - Sandie Thomas

The tour was very informative and well presented by the guides. We also enjoyed the food and service at the restaurant. - Rui Fernandes
